In a recent legal development, Harvey Weinstein has successfully secured a temporary relocation from Riker’s Island to Bellevue Hospital. This move follows petitions filed by his attorney, Imran Ansari, and medical consultant Craig Rothfeld, citing severe health deterioration.

A judge approved this request on Thursday, and Weinstein is currently in Bellevue awaiting a hearing set for April 24 at 2:15 PM ET.

Weinstein’s legal team has argued that he has not been receiving adequate medical care while at Riker’s Island, claiming that certain health issues were misdiagnosed by prison medical staff.

He has purportedly discussed financial compensation in the millions with Bellevue Hospital, where he has reportedly expressed trust in the care provided.

Meanwhile, Weinstein’s retrial is ongoing, following previous convictions for sexual assault and rape that were overturned on appeal. A jury has recently been selected to hear his case, marking another chapter in the contentious legal battles surrounding the disgraced film producer.
