The mystery surrounding S’more on The Masked Singer has finally come to an end. During the Nov. 29 episode of the show, which was themed “Disco Night,” one of the early 2000s’ most beloved boy band members was unmasked, leaving fans in awe.
S’more, the performer dressed in an elaborate, oversized costume, had been a fan favorite for several weeks. Before his performance of the KC and the Sunshine Band hit “That’s the Way (I Like It),” S’more opened up about the unique challenge of competing on The Masked Singer. “When I got here, I’m gonna be honest, I was a little nervous,” he shared. “This has been unlike any experience I’ve ever had as a performer. This costume is hot, it’s heavy, and it’s a hell of a lot of cardio.”
S’more’s dedication to the performance was evident, with the singer revealing he had been practicing choreography late into the night, as if he were back in “boy band boot camp.” His hard work paid off as his performance was well-received, but it wasn’t enough to keep him in the competition. Following his performance, he dropped a final clue aimed at judge Robin Thicke: “Robin, I’ve been inside your house, and you have great taste in music and home decor.”
The panelists were buzzing with guesses, each pointing to various famous boy-band members. Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong both guessed members of the Backstreet Boys—Kevin Richardson and AJ McLean, respectively—while Nicole Scherzinger opted for Jordan Knight of New Kids on the Block. But it was Jenny McCarthy who hit the nail on the head, correctly guessing that S’more was none other than Ashley Parker Angel of O-Town.
Ashley, 42, expressed his gratitude for the show, calling it “an incredible experience for a performer.” He also took a moment to shout out to his son, Lyric, whom he shares with Tiffany Lynn, saying, “I wanna shout out to my son, I love you, Lyric!”
This marks another memorable unmasking on The Masked Singer, where celebrity contestants, hidden behind elaborate costumes, show off their vocal talents and surprise the audience each week. Ashley’s unmasking wraps up his brief but memorable journey in season 10 of the show, and fans can catch all the drama unfold when the show airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
As the competition heats up, fans eagerly await the next elimination to see who will take home the coveted Masked Singer trophy!
