Beyoncé Elevates Cowboy Carter Tour with Diverse Setlist
On the evening of her Cowboy Carter Tour performance on October 2nd, Beyoncé captivated fans at Sofi Stadium by introducing an exciting new medley that included some of her most beloved hits.
Dynamic Setlist Changes
The show saw Beyoncé open the fifth act with “Texas Hold M” before transitioning into a homecoming rendition of “Crazy in Love.” This setlist shift marked the first performance of “Single Ladies (Wearing the Ring)” since 2018, showcasing her commitment to keeping the tour fresh and engaging for her audience.
Following these iconic tracks, she seamlessly performed “Love on Top,” which had been part of the opening round of the tour, before concluding the medley with “Irreplaceable” and the emotional “I Was A Boy.” This latter song was also a first for audiences since her 2014 tour.
Surprising Song Order and Fan Reactions
Additionally, Beyoncé altered the order of several other songs, performing “Ribird,” “II Hands II Heaven,” and “Tyrant” in quick succession. This prompted fans to speculate about the possibility of daily setlist changes throughout the tour.
During the performance, she was joined by her daughters, Lumi Carter and her mother, Tina Knowles, celebrating the launch of Knowles’ new book, “Matriark,” following a track titled “The Protector.”
Upcoming Tour Stops
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour continues with three upcoming shows in Los Angeles before heading to Chicago and New Jersey. Following that, she will take her show to London and Paris, concluding the tour with performances in Houston, Washington D.C., Atlanta, and Las Vegas this July.
Critical Acclaim
The Rolling Stone review highlighted the production’s sophistication, noting that “Beyoncé offers a show at Beyoncé Caliber Stadium with no genre restrictions, accompanied by a stunning choreography of over 24 backup dancers.”
