Guests attending the Bianca Spender Resort 2026 show were greeted with a minimalist pencil and a card with the message, “What you hold today that you need to let go.” This thoughtful gesture set the tone for an event focused on introspection and renewal.

Thematic Inspiration

Spender described the essence of the collection as a transformative experience akin to swimming in the ocean. “I wanted the collection to wash away everyone,” she articulated backstage, reflecting the fluidity and dynamism of oceanic movements—rushing, crashing, and falling—mirrored in her designs.

Design Features

This body-conscious collection showcased minimalistic silhouettes, with pieces that appeared to flirt with the line between swimwear and fashion. Notably, the array of thin fabrics and loose fits offered comfort and freedom of movement, making the garments feel like an extension of the body.

Soft Tailoring and Fluid Movement

The collection featured soft tailoring with round hems and draped elements throughout jackets and trousers. Many jackets lacked closures, contributing to an impression of unfinished elegance, while the long vests added a contemporary twist. A standout feature was a series of shiny nylon draped gowns, which captured the way water interacts with a moving body—a striking visual effect enhanced by the innovative use of Ponte Mesh.

Spender emphasized her goals for this season’s collection, stating, “I thought I couldn’t create all of this liquid (emotions), so I was able to limit you and wear something I can’t breathe.” This approach highlights her intention to prioritize breathability while pushing the boundaries of garment construction.
