Khloé Kardashian’s fear of whales may be a serious matter for her, but to her daughter, True, it’s nothing short of entertainment.
In the premiere episode of The Kardashians season 4, Khloé, 39, opened up about her intense fear of whales while vacationing with her family in Mexico. The reality star had a meltdown upon discovering that whales were visible from their private residence. She admitted to her sister Kim Kardashian, “I am really freaking out. He said they come close to the shore… I feel like I’m going to cry.”
Khloé’s anxiety increased as she saw the whales more clearly. “Why is this whale season? What are they doing? Mating? That’s sick,” she said, adding, “What in the f—k are the chances that we are here during mating season? This thing is so big you don’t see it coming.”
Despite her terror, it seems that Khloé’s daughter True, 5, found the situation rather amusing. The Good American founder joked about her daughter’s playful teasing, saying, “My daughter bullies me. She draws me photos of whales just to f—k with me. She thinks it is so funny.”
Kris Jenner’s Confusion
Khloé’s mother, Kris Jenner, expressed her confusion over Khloé’s whale phobia. “I can’t quite figure out where Khloé got this fear of whales,” Kris said, adding, “It had to have been somewhere in her childhood that I went really, really wrong somehow. I’m so sorry, Khloé.”
Khloé’s Water Fear Extends Beyond Whales
Khloé’s fear is not limited to whales alone. The reality star revealed that her discomfort extends to deep and dark waters in general. “I don’t like deep open water. I don’t like dark water. I won’t go in a lake. I am not boujee about a lot of things [but] when it comes to water, I will be the boujee-iest motherf—ker you ever met,” she quipped. She further expressed her unease about the size of a blue whale’s heart, referencing a Snapple fact, “A blue whale’s heart is as big as a baby yellow school bus.”
