Lyle Menendez highlighted that the concept of hope is relatively new to him, while Eric shared his daily commitment to personal improvement and a budding self-acceptance. Their fate now hinges upon an assessment by the California parole board regarding their potential risk to society.
The brothers are scheduled to appear before the board in June. In discussions, they demonstrated a cautious optimism while narrating envisioned lives beyond prison walls.

Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the parole committee will conduct a thorough risk assessment following the June 13 hearing, which will then be forwarded to his desk for review. The findings will play a crucial role in determining the brothers’ prospects for release.
Additionally, an alternative route to freedom exists for the Menendez brothers; the risk assessment outcomes will also be shared with a judge for further considerations.
Viewers can tune in to TMZ Presents: The Menendez Brothers: The Prison Interview, premiering on Fox at 9 PM ET and streaming on Hulu the following day.
