Nedoroscik’s Furry Travel Companion
On August 27, 2024, Nedoroscik shared an Instagram Story of a car selfie with his girlfriend, Tess McCracken, as they set off for the big move. In a follow-up post, he revealed that their cat, Kyushu, was traveling with them too.
“Don’t worry Kyushu made it too,” Nedoroscik wrote alongside a photo of his pet relaxing in a travel carrier. McCracken jokingly added in her own Instagram Story, “Kyushu is also going to be a California Girl; he just doesn’t know it yet.” The couple confirmed their arrival in California the following day with a photo of their hotel view.
A New Chapter on Dancing With the Stars
Nedoroscik, fresh off his Olympic success, was the first celebrity announced for Dancing With the Stars season 33. In an August 22 appearance on Good Morning America, he excitedly discussed how he planned to incorporate his gymnastics skills into his dancing. “I’m hoping to bring some of [my pommel horse moves],” Nedoroscik said, adding that he was aiming to do “flares” and possibly even a backflip or handstand. “I want to have fun with it.”
When asked whether he’d wear his signature glasses while dancing, Nedoroscik teased, “I might have fun with it. I’m scared they’ll fly off because of the thing, but maybe we can do a gadget to keep them on. Maybe a new pair of glasses to match the theme.”
Nedoroscik’s Olympic Legacy
Nedoroscik’s appearance on DWTS comes after a stellar performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he helped the U.S. men’s gymnastics team secure a bronze medal, ending a 16-year medal drought. Nedoroscik also won another bronze in the individual pommel horse final, cementing his status as a decorated Olympic gymnast.
With Dancing With the Stars set to premiere on September 17, 2024, Nedoroscik is already getting fans excited to see how his athleticism and creativity will shine in the ballroom. Fans can watch the season on ABC, Disney+, and the next day on Hulu.
