Brittany Cartwright Discusses Life After Separation from Jax Taylor
Separation Challenges
Brittany Cartwright revealed her struggles following her separation from Jax Taylor, emphasizing the difficulty of co-parenting while they still shared a home.
In a recent interview, Cartwright expressed her frustration, stating, “Jax didn’t leave for seven months, but I had to move to another rental property.” This transition was particularly challenging as she had to relocate with their son, Cruz.
Staying in the Family Home
Despite their separation, Cartwright stayed connected to their family home, stating, “I made this house a home. Cruz was born here,” highlighting the emotional significance of their shared space for their son.
She mentioned her willingness to have Taylor move into the rental property she secured, which he declined, adding to her feelings of frustration. Cartwright emphasized the importance of stability, particularly for Cruz, who is autistic. “When you’re dealing with autistic kids, we shouldn’t be people who are moving around,” she remarked, pointing out the necessity of a consistent environment for children with special needs.
Jax Taylor’s Decision to Move
Cartwright noted that Taylor finally moved out in December 2024, after purchasing a condo in Hollywood. She speculated that the decision was influenced by the cameras rolling for the second season of their reality show, saying, “That’s probably the only reason he finally moved out.”
Plans for the Family Home
Despite the separation, Cartwright has no intention of selling their family home. “This is my home. I’m proud of myself. I can do it myself,” she affirmed, showcasing her independence and determination to maintain their residence.
Reflecting on her background, she shared, “I’m a girl from Kentucky. I didn’t expect to have a house like this,” further underscoring her pride in taking care of the household on her own.
Moving Forward
Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor finalized their separation in January 2024, with Cartwright filing for divorce in August. As she navigates this new chapter, she remains focused on creating a stable and nurturing environment for her son.
