Kranay Jones Enters Her CEO Era: She’s Done Chasing Influence. She’s Building a Business

How one first-generation scholar built a modern platform to help college women find scholarships and thrive.
After years of building an audience, creating content and working with major brands, Kranay Jones is putting her influencer era on hold to focus on something bigger: ownership.
For years, Jones embraced influencer culture, from brand trips and PR packages to events and partnerships. But over time, she began thinking differently about the value she was creating.
“Being an influencer is cool. I loved going on brand trips, getting PR packages, attending events, and experiencing everything that came with that world,” Kranay says. “But eventually, I started thinking differently. I realized I was helping companies make thousands of dollars, but I wasn't receiving a percentage of the business or owning a piece of what I was helping build. I realized I'd rather own than represent.”
Jones still sees the value in influencing, but her focus is shifting toward what happens behind the scenes: ownership, products, partnerships and building a company that can exist beyond her personal platform. The question is no longer simply, “What should I post next?” It's becoming, “What am I building next?”
From Creator to Founder
Jones' journey into entrepreneurship grew naturally from her experience as a creator. Building an audience taught her how to communicate, develop a recognizable brand and turn attention into opportunity. Over time, however, her ambition shifted. She didn't just want to represent brands. She wanted to build one.
That vision now extends across several ventures. Kranay Academy focuses on helping college women find opportunities, navigate scholarships and develop professionally through resources, workshops and student programs.
The Pink Page Society expands that vision into community, creating a space for college women centered on reading, culture, personal development and connection. KranayRx brings another dimension to the growing ecosystem through prescription savings resources designed to provide practical value beyond social media.
Together, these ventures reflect Jones' transition from creator to founder and her focus on building businesses that can extend beyond her personal platform.
“I don't just want to promote someone else's company,” Kranay says. “I want to build my own.”
“I’m My Own Powerhouse”
There is another part of Jones' story that she believes is important to the transition: education. Rather than viewing her creator background as the entirety of her professional identity, Kranay has continued investing heavily in her education and professional development. She currently holds four certifications, three associate degrees and a bachelor's degree, with a master's degree in progress.
That academic journey has reinforced her belief that she has more to offer than simply her ability to create content. “I’m my own powerhouse,” Kranay says. “I’ve built myself academically and professionally, with four certifications, three associate degrees, a bachelor’s degree, and a master’s degree on the way. I’m constantly learning, building and expanding what I’m capable of.”
For Kranay, education isn't separate from entrepreneurship. It is part of the foundation. The more she learned, the more she began to question why she should limit herself to representing other people's businesses when she could use those skills to create something of her own.
“I’m too educated to spend my entire career just representing somebody else’s vision,” she says. “I’m building my own.”
The Difference Between Influence and Ownership
For Kranay, moving from influencer to entrepreneur means taking on a different kind of responsibility. Building a company requires more than visibility. It means developing products, understanding customers, creating partnerships and making decisions that shape long term growth.
Her audience, content and personal brand still matter, but they are no longer the destination. They are tools for building something bigger.
Her creator years taught her how to capture attention. Now, her founder years are teaching her what to do with it. Being a CEO is not simply about a title. It is about taking responsibility for the vision.
Building Beyond Her Name
Kranay's vision now extends beyond her personal presence online. She wants Kranay to become a company with its own identity, systems and ability to grow without depending entirely on her being on camera.
That means building a team, developing partnerships and creating offerings that provide value whether or not Jones is personally posting. For a founder who began by building an audience, the focus is shifting from capturing attention to building what comes after it.
“I don't want everything I've built to depend on whether I posted today,” she says. “I want to build something that has its own identity, its own systems and its own future.”
The CEO Era
For Kranay, the “CEO era” is more than a new title. It represents a shift in priorities as she puts influencing on hold to focus on entrepreneurship, ownership and growing Kranay.
The brand trips, PR packages and events remain an important part of her story, but her attention has moved toward building something of her own.
“I loved being an influencer,” Kranay says. “But I think there's a difference between being invited into someone else's business and building a business of your own.”
Rather than leaving her creator experience behind, Jones is building on it. Creating content taught her how to grow an audience, while entrepreneurship is teaching her how to build something that can stand on its own.
The audience was the beginning. The company is the next chapter.
What Makes Kranay Academy Different

Most scholarship platforms are built by large organizations. They often feel outdated, complicated, or impersonal. Kranay Academy takes the opposite approach, and the difference is impossible to ignore.
First, there is the founder herself. Kranay did not build this platform from theory. She built it from firsthand experience with early graduation, financial barriers, and academic pressure. Students trust her recommendations because they come from someone who looks like them, speaks like them, and understands their reality.
Second, Kranay Academy specializes in scholarship discovery, not just link collection. The curated calendars and deadline reminders remove the guesswork, so students can focus on applying rather than searching.
Third, the platform speaks the language of its audience. Traditional scholarship sites can feel intimidating or dull. Kranay Academy delivers information in a modern, student-friendly format, complete with digital planners, discount magazines, and relatable content that students genuinely want to use.
Finally, Kranay Academy supports the whole student, not just the wallet. Members gain access to emergency assistance links, local guidance for food and housing help, mental health resources, and organizational tools designed specifically for college women. That comprehensive approach is what sets the platform apart in a crowded space.
More Than a Resource Hub
Kranay Academy is best understood as an ecosystem. It blends academic credibility, aesthetic design, and practical systems in a way few competitors attempt. Members receive scholarship trackers, curated calendars, monthly content drops, digital planners compatible with popular apps, and weekly power-hour sessions built to improve scholarship submissions.
The community element matters just as much. Students who join gain access to an encouragement network, accountability sessions, and a founder who shows the process, the struggle, and the success in real time. For new members, the platform even offers a seven-day money-back guarantee, a reflection of Kranay's confidence in the value she provides.
This combination of corporate-level branding, social media relatability, and real academic tools creates something rare. It makes student success both practical and beautiful.
A Voice for Gen Z Students
As an educated influencer, Kranay brings authenticity and transparency to an industry that often feels inaccessible. She does not hide behind polished marketing. She shares the honest reality of what young women face while building a future through education.
That honesty is why students follow her, and why they stay. Her audience does not see a distant expert. They see a peer who has walked the same difficult road and come out stronger. She translates her experiences into visually engaging content, clear guidance, and systems that help students stay ahead.
Kranay's accomplishments speak volumes. She graduated at sixteen with an associate's degree, earned three associate's degrees, a bachelor's degree, and three professional certifications, and she is now pursuing her doctorate. She has launched a national scholarship platform, created a student discount magazine, and built a trusted online community. Every achievement reinforces a single, lifelong commitment: helping others succeed.
