The Party Continues for Travis Kelce After Super Bowl LVII Victory
It seems the celebrations for Travis Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates are far from over. Although Super Bowl LVII was held on February 12, Travis was still living it up two weeks later in Las Vegas. On February 24, the Chiefs’ star tight end, alongside teammates including Patrick Mahomes, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and others, took their victory party to XS Nightclub at the Wynn Las Vegas. The VIP experience included an over-the-top celebration with a six-tiered football-themed cake, Chiefs-colored confetti, an LED drumline, and a special performance by The Chainsmokers.
Champagne Showers and Don Julio 1942
The night reached its peak when Travis was handed a massive bottle of Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Gold Brut Champagne. With Queen’s “We Are the Champions” blaring in the background, he proceeded to shower the clubgoers in bubbly. The enthusiastic athlete seemed to get most of the champagne on himself but didn’t seem to mind one bit. After the champagne moment, Travis switched things up by grabbing a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila, matching his quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ choice of drink. The wild celebration continued until around 3:30 AM, proving that Travis Kelce knows how to throw a party.
What’s Next for Travis?
As the Super Bowl celebrations slowly wind down, Travis is gearing up for another big moment—his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live on March 3. He made the announcement during his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on February 16. “Growing up, I was a huge, like, [Chris] Farley, [Will] Ferrell, Fallon kind of guy,” Travis shared. “I used to watch Saturday Night Live with my mother, and it’s an absolute honor and a privilege to be hosting SNL.”
Fallon, who’s an SNL alum, reassured Travis, “You are going to be so good. I was talking to Lorne [Michaels] today, and I’m like, ‘He’s so charming, and he can sing, and he’s fun.’” Travis, who has already showcased his entertaining side during the Super Bowl celebrations, will now get the chance to demonstrate his charisma and sense of humor on one of TV’s biggest stages.
Travis Kelce: NFL Star Turned SNL Host
Travis will be the third NFL player to host SNL in the last 15 years. The last football player to take the stage was J.J. Watt in February 2020, followed by Eli Manning in May 2012. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are the other NFL stars who have hosted the show since 2000, making Travis the latest in a growing line of athletes to expand their horizons into the world of comedy.
As his Super Bowl win continues to be celebrated, it seems Travis Kelce is just getting started. Stay tuned for his SNL debut—this is one victory party that’s not slowing down anytime soon!
