Taylor Swift just made her fans’ day even more exciting! On March 16, just one day before the long-awaited Eras Tour kicked off, Taylor took to Instagram with a special surprise: four unreleased songs to celebrate the tour’s beginning. These tracks were dropped at midnight, giving Swifties the ultimate treat before they saw their idol on stage.

The four songs released are: “Eyes Open (Taylor’s Version)”, “Safe & Sound (featuring Joy Williams and John Paul White) (Taylor’s Version)”, “If This Was A Movie (Taylor’s Version)”, and “All of the Girls You Loved Before”. While some of these songs have been hidden in the vault for a while, others are being heard for the very first time, which makes this release even more exciting!

Two of the songs, “Eyes Open” and “Safe & Sound”, were recorded for the Hunger Games soundtrack back in 2012, a moment that fans will surely remember fondly. Safe & Sound, featuring Joy Williams and John Paul White of The Civil Wars, marks the first collaboration between the two since the group disbanded in 2014. This addition adds a beautiful, nostalgic layer to the surprise.

The other two tracks are special in their own ways. “If This Was A Movie”, which first appeared as a bonus track on the deluxe version of her 2010 album Speak Now, brings an extra touch of nostalgia to her earlier work. Meanwhile, “All of the Girls You Loved Before” is an entirely new release, previously unheard by the public, adding a fresh tune to her growing catalog.

The timing of these drops couldn’t have been more perfect as Taylor’s Eras Tour was set to begin on March 17, with her first show at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. To celebrate her visit, the city temporarily renamed itself “Swift City” in honor of the star. This marks her first tour in five years, and fans were already buzzing with excitement. In her Instagram post from November, Taylor expressed her eagerness, writing, “I can’t WAIT to see your gorgeous faces out there. It’s been a long time coming.”

The Eras Tour, which promises to take fans on a journey through Taylor’s impressive musical evolution, will feature a star-studded lineup of guest performers, including Paramore and GAYLE. With her music and this highly anticipated tour, Taylor Swift continues to prove just how deeply connected she is with her loyal fans.

Fans worldwide are now eagerly counting down the days until they can experience these unreleased songs live and immerse themselves in every chapter of Taylor’s musical journey. The Eras Tour is shaping up to be a celebration of everything Taylor Swift has accomplished, and her fans couldn’t be more excited for the ride ahead!
